Sept. 6 (Bloomberg) -- Ichiro Suzuki of the Seattle Mariners reached 2,000 career hits in the second-fewest games in Major League Baseball history. Ichiro became the 259th major-leaguer to reach the milestone with a double in the first inning of today’s game against the Oakland Athletics.
