Jane Lakes Harman (born June 28 1945), is a seven-term Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives, representing the California's 36th congressional district. She attended Los Angeles public schools, Smith College, and Harvard Law School. On November 7, 2006, she was reelected in the 2006 general election to the 110th United States Congress, defeating Republican challenger Brian Gibson.
